Study Abroad Life Update
Hey friends! Life has been pretty hectic this week, but I am so happy to be in London. I arrived last Tuesday morning (I’ve officially been here for a whole week now). Here’s a couple updates on my life in London…
Where I’m staying: I’m staying in a dorm style apartment complex called Chapter King’s Cross for the next three and a half months. It’s conveniently located right near King’s Cross station so travel around the city has been super easy!
What I’m studying: I’m taking mostly elective classes while I’m here because they don’t offer many classes that align with my major. My favorite class I’ve been to so far is ‘The History of London’. My professor is hilarious and we get to take field trips to many historical places around London. My mom desperately wants to be back in school so she can take this class too haha!
My favorite part about London so far: THE FOOD! I’ve eaten so much incredible ethnic food since I’ve been here. My favorite has definitely been pho from a small hole-in-the-wall Thai restaurant.
The best thing I’ve done so far: We went on a free tour of the Tower of London on Saturday with our program. We went here on our previous trip, but the Crown Jewels were just as amazing the second time around! They also had a food festival going on there with hundreds of tents. Free cheese and wine…yes please!
Where I’m off to next: We leave for Paris on Friday morning!!
I’m having the best time exploring this beautiful city and I can’t wait to see Paris for the first time this weekend! Let me know your favorite restaurants or must see places in Paris (other than the obvious).
